Yesterday, I was exhausted. So busy over the weekend, and staying up too late...you know how it goes. I was working with a small group and the conversation turned from math to how tired several of the kiddos were (too much Easter, I suppose! lol)
Kiddo 1: I hope you're not coming down with something. (side note...how cute is that?!)
Kiddo 2: Yeah...we don't want to have a sub. Don't get sick.
Kiddo 3: Yeah...because when we have a sub, X is really bad.
Me: Oh, really?
Kiddo 2: Mmmhmmm.
Kiddo 3: Yeah...X, Y, and Z....they're always bad when we have a sub.
*All nod in agreement*
Kiddo 2: If we have a sub, I'm gonna go to the nurse and tell her I'm sick so I can go home!
Kiddo 3: If we have a sub.....I'm gonna go to lunch....I'm gonna eat all the food....I'm gonna eat all the food until I get sick...and then I'm gonna go home.
Kiddo 1: If we have a sub...I'm gonna move to Mexico! I'm gonna move to Mexico and shave my hair!
By this time, I was laughing so hard!
It's nice to be missed.
It's nice to be missed, I tell ya!
You know what they say.....Kids say the darnedest things! One of the perks of our job...right?!
I'm linking up with A Turn to Learn's fun linky "What Did They Say?". Definitely a bright spot in my week!
